Big dark berry, if not chewy, offering. Big tannins and hint of tobacco. Apparently this vintage was to honor the mother of winemaker Gerhard. I would say he honored her well

Delectus is one of my favorite smaller wineries and this 2005 is extremely nice for the price. Would probably keep well for a few more years.
