Diamond Creek Vineyards
Red Rock Terrace Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
July 4th Friday was a total blowout! Killer bottles one after another. Here are just a few of the bottles we all enjoyed!
I think this could have been even better if this was served at the right temperature as it was pretty warm (room temp) when opened. Muddled red fruits, tobacco, and cedar at first before the fruit turned tart/youthful adding some cassis and clay.

Explosive bouquet of crushed rocks and wet dirt, almost humid like. Sour cherries and cassis blends flawlessly with round grain tannins. At peak if not almost there

Oct 16th, 2016Dinner was delayed so I was nervous I had opened this up too early. However, it kept gaining in weight and fruit with air. Started off with a fine parsley and mint-like pyrazine character. With time it gained both high-toned strawberry fruit and cassis as well. A perfect pairing with lamb shoulder.
