Domaine A
Cabernet Sauvignon
Some SO2 notes initially which blew off but asparagus aromas remained. Notes of capsicum on nose and palate. Like the old style Tasmanian Cabernets where they couldn't get the grapes to ripen sufficiently. I have had far better examples of this wine since. Easily the best Cabernet producer in Tassie I think

Feb 16th, 2017Big, bold, stewed plumb and raisin character. Still firm tannins and good grip but fruit is on the wane. Great but +2pts 5 yrs ago

Sep 20th, 2017Massive nose - dark fruit, prune, and mint. Slightly past it's prime. The tannic structure and the acid are still very much in tact but the fruit is on the decline and starting to show raisiny sweetness which overpowers the characteristic eucalyptus twist. Still a big, rich, enjoyable wine
