Domaine André Bonhomme
Viré Clessé Chardonnay
Bleh. Nothing special with a little too much oak influence on the palate because there is not much else going on

Nov 24th, 2015Out of the bottle this was downright savory--minerally and almost salty--but it has opened up nicely in the glass: smokey slate, black pepper, and green apple swirl together, and it finishes with a quinine bite and some ripe pear. Not the lafon from the same appellation, but I don't think it's supposed to be. There's plenty of complexity here.
