100% Chenin from Chinon. Linden blossom and lanolin nose. Very vibrant on the palate - pear, golden delicious, and great acid. Excellent, lengthy finish. Chenin accounts for only about 4% of the plantings in Chinon. This wine makes me wish that number was far higher.

Fatter and richer than previous bottles. It's got gobs of ripe, golden orchard fruits that somebody tossed with a handful of dried porcini, but there's this cleansing lemon-oil acidity. Sneaky good

Took a while in the decanter to be anything but a screaming lightning bolt of acidity. Eventually showed some nice stone fruit, a touch of woolly funk and citrus twang. A little time in the bottle will help.

Generous nose with bees wax and granny smith apples - almost smells oily. Baked apples on the palate with the bees wax coming through. Tight, racy acid would make me think this one needs some serious time - maybe 15 years?
