One of the finest St Josephs I’ve ever tasted. Quiet, calm, utterly pure Syrah that’s complete and close to perfection. Not trying to be anything other than the stately, refined thing it is. Reminds me of what this appellation was when no one wanted these wines and nobody cared.

Well...disappointing but not surprising considering 2009. One dimensional, forward and uncomplete. Lack of energy. I still don't understand where all this fuss is about in regards to the 2009 vintage.
