1985 vintage. From a bottle with a perfect level. Deep colour still. Showing much younger than its age, the nose still features a lot of black fruit, mixed with spices and cedar wood. Concentrated layers of blackberries, amarena cherries, dark chocolate and spices in a powerful, yet elegant ripe tannic structure balanced by fresh acidity. Very long lingering finish. Excellent, but no hurry to drink this already, no signs of fatigue.

2015 vintage. 55% cabernet sauvignon, 35% merlot, 5% cabernet franc and 5% petit verdot. What a glorious wine! Intensely perfumed with blackcurrant, cedarwood and subtle spices. Amazingly elegant and profound, with a powerful but very refined tannic structure, incredible purity and freshness, perfectly integrated wood and a knockout extremely long finish. Wow!

Good color short on fruit and acid passed its prime. C’est la vie
