Oh yessss…
That’s a lot more like it.
Inviting nose of hay, green tea, vanillapods, lemoncurd and quince-jelly. Wonderful mouthfeel, loooong finish. When I savour and taste this, I am puzzled by its apparent contradictions: umami vs citrusfruit, massive structure vs subtle complexity, marmalade vs mushrooms, strict and rigid vs suave and playful, searing acidity vs creamy roundness. Only touches of tertiary characteristics.
Full of life, 25 years young. Love it!

Wow. Been working through a case of these in the past 9 years, and this is the wine that jumpstarted my love for white Bordeaux. And it still delivers. In spades. Reaching peak maturity now, mega complex, and very very lush and concentrated. Quite Burgundian in style. Yellow fruit, dry honey, floral accents, creamy vanilla, lofty oak, green tea, almond and white raisins. Endless finish, stupendous wine. 3 bottles left in the bank, Thank God..

Starts to pick up a golden hue. Scents of warm applepie, roasted almonds, honey-glazed ham, vanilla, orange rind, oxidation is starting to make its stand and gives this a slightly Rhône-like personality. Powerful and strong, great acidity!

Beautiful mixture of orange, dry honey and thyme. Hint of hazelnut too. This wine is at peak and I feel it will plateau during 3 to 5 years. Gorgeous!
