Overwhelmed by the vast selection and needing to choose quickly before the store closed, I went for something I know. To be fair, I didn’t give this much time to open but I still enjoyed it and can see its potential as I’ve had prior vintages that have been great. Medium tannins, medium acid though that seems a bit cloyed by the alcohol. Raisins, raspberries, spices - the typical Grenache profile shines - light and soft on the palate.

Chateauneuf at its most elegant and regal. Bright, spicy raspberry fruit with seductive violet and lavender. Focused and lean with medium tannins and racy, firm minerality. Sublimely fragrant, juicy and light on its feet.
