1997 vintage. So rich & ripe ,& viscous. Touch of botrytis. Still lively. Amazing.

1997 vintage. DRC Montrachet. Deep amber hue. Unfortunately oxidised. More like Yquem than Montrachet. Apricot and dried fruits, toffee almond, vanilla cream. On the palate, medium body and high acidity, good depth of flavour, and nice finish. Oxidation has compromised the bottle. N/A on points due to oxidation.

Mon Dieux (My God) ! One must try a Montrachet from DRC at least once in his or her lifetime. I had this 1997 vintage today, my birthday with my wife. The caliber of DRC's Montrachet is beyond words. Honey, roasted nut finishing lasted until your next sip. Deep golden color says it all. We were courageous to accompany this nectar with roasted Peking duck. And the match was brilliant and in my opinion, well rewarded ! Try this, and be adventurous!
