Domaine de l'Enclos
Chablis Chardonnay
A wine of the vintage. A bit too ripe for me.

Mar 3rd, 2022Nose has saccharin dusted lemon peel, Clementine zest, damp chalk, blackcurrant foliage, wet lemons and warm, under-ripe pineapple.
Palate has lemon rind, canned Mandarin orange, clay pottery, red table grapes, under-ripe mango with mild, bitter notes on the finish. Good acidity but seems to fade with air.
This producers AC Chablis seems to be falling out of favor with my palate, but my wife is loving it. 🤷🏻♂️

13% abv, but really ripe. A bunch of VA on the nose. Decanting helped. I couldn’t get past the ripe notes. Not what I want in a Chablis.

Jun 23rd, 2022Silky, concentrated, and vibrant. Mineral driven, salt, slate, crushed oyester shell. Some complimentary orchard fruit in the background. Seems off dry.
