Domaine de Montcy
Cour-Cheverny Romorantin
Kept having sip after sip of this to figure out what made it more compelling than your run of the mill Loire and then it was half gone... 🤷🏼♂️ frontloaded acids and malo richness. Keep it cold though, it’s a bit more messy as it warms up...

Feb 17th, 2019Golden apples, bruised pear, gardenias, almonds, honeysuckle, saline, smoke. Rounded acid, medium-plus body, juicy-oily texture, crisp floral-stone fruit-honeyed finish.. Delicate aromatics unfolds nicely into rich texture, mineral driven, highly food friendly. Recommended for Chenin lovers.

Jul 6th, 2017Medium gold; very aromatic with stone fruit and apple (almost riesling); acid driven and relatively hot (13.5%) with light bitterness; very refreshing, and a bargain! Really faded day 2
