Hazy strawberry color reminiscent of Cab Franc in the glass. Meaty and savory on the palate with charred meat providing the structure for spicy cherry fruit, a little herbaceousness and a punchy acidity. Very nice.

Delectable Featured Wine

One of Les Baux de Provence's most important estates, and yet you won't see it on the label. In sticking to his guns about Cabernet's excellence in the area - and including more of it in the blend that allowed - estate founder Eloi Dürrbach had to reliquish his AOC status. Thankfully he put wine before politics as this is one of the Southern Rhône's most intriguing and unique wines. Muscular and dense with Cab's lush dark fruit and Syrah's gamey spice, it is savage in all the right ways.
