What an experience... Thrilling and haunting... Decaying lavender, Herbes de Provence, green olives, damp earth and cured meats. I could continue, but I'd much rather stop and enjoy this one.

More about the mass than the energy, like most producers from Cotes de Nuits.

The ripeness is pushed to the maximum, like many in Gevrey-Chambertin, and is indistinguishable from California Pinot Noir’s. The texture and the structure shows signs of an expert winemaking, that Burgundy ideal of complete convergence, and is preferable to still lots of underpowered examples, but is still overdone.

The wine is actually good if you like a smooth light French wine. It’s quite soft. It’s just not my style. Very dry.
