Pale Ruby in colour. Sweet red fruits (cherry). Light to medium bodied on the palate with those savoury red cherries present. Certainly at 10 years it is at its limit. No more improvement. Ready to drink and lacking complexity, but it is only a Village wine - however Barb really liked it - particularly the aromatics. Her score a couple of points above my 90.

Jun 23rd, 2025Mid crimson with a tawny aspect. Notes of strawberry, red liqueur cherry and Sous Bois. Palate is sweet, also savoury and quite delicious with spice and a refreshing bitter twist at the end. Lovely 2015 fruit to the fore from Aloxe Corton. Medium palate weight but a certain richness. From a producer I have little experience with but is recommended. The following night, continuing as a great wine, lovely depth. A nice surprise.

Aug 11th, 2022Opened yesterday. Notes from Day 2 open. This wine has no right to be this good. On the nose: lovely cherry, wild strawberry, cardamom, cinnamon, soft soy...fantastic complexity. On the palate, fantastic acidity, sweet wild strawberry, spice, good density, Lovely finish with a touch of white pepper, very soft tannin. So compelling.
