Domaine des Ouled Thaleb
Syrocco Zenata Syrah
Reductive at first, with air the fruit profile is opening up; expressive, and varietal but somewhat simple aroma without any higher density and complexity. Balanced with good structure throughout average, but balanced finish.

Nov 18th, 2018Dense dark fruit; ripe plum, Marion berries, cardamom pod, mars alone, with funky black tea notes on the nose. Maybe a little bit of EA.
Softer and less dense than expected on the palate. Tanins are super even and a nice balance of acidity. Marionberry and black tea follow through on the palate.
Fun fruit forward wine with complexity.

Not all the way integrated, but interesting nonetheless

Jul 1st, 2019Wow wines from Morocco 🇲🇦 never would have been on my radar but they are now. This surprisingly smooth medium bodied delight offers expressive notes of black cherry, dried rosemary and licorice. Smooth on the palate one can almost see and hear the sights and sounds from Rick’s in the movie Casablanca. Will pair well with lamb and lighter beefs. “Here’s looking at you kid” Cheers from BC 🍷
