The weekend is almost over and I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend? Tonight I have opened the 2017 Domaine Drouhin Laurène Pinot Noir from the Dundee Hills of the Willamette Valley in Oregon.
On the nose there is beautiful fruit of cherry, raspberry, cranberry, cinnamon, cola, sage, herbs, spice and earth.
On the palate are cherries, raspberries, pomegranate, cinnamon, hibiscus, spice, vanilla and a subtle earth play.
The wine is medium bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and medium + acidity and medium polished fine tannins that leads into a wonderfully long fresh red fruit earthy finish.
