Was surprised by how light the ruby color was in the glass. Understated and quite complex. Tight nose of cherry and pine cone initially and then opened up to tea, tobacco and oak. Tart. Gripping finish. Alcohol seems to be on the higher side.

Lots of plum on the nose, some peppery in the palate. Smoke too, particularly the latter part of the palate. Really nice!
