A very pure, terroir-driven red Rhone. 12.5% abv and lots of acidity. It wasn't lacking in red and black fruit, garrigue, pepper, and earthy mineral tones either. Costs $20 or so retail.

Roast meat, olive, and ripe black fruit with the structure to match. Great balance, but a tightly wound. With just a little air it blossoms beautifully.

Pure fruit and healthy acidic vein. Able to stand up to the spice and bold flavors of the French-Caribbean dishes I had with it. A wine I'd like to revisit by itself.
