The 2014 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru puts in a convincing performance. With brambly red berry fruit on the nose, the coolness of the growing season allows the mineralité of this to really shine, with time in the glass revealing hints of autumn bonfire/fireside hearth. The palate is beautifully structured. It's saline with darker fruit than the aromatics. Quite linear and what you might call "vertical" in style, this is a superb expression of the Grand Cru that still needs a bit of time in bottle. (Neal Martin, Vinous, June 2024)

Rather reticent on the nose, could’ve done with some air. Spate of dense, ripe fruit, lavender, tea leaf and baking spices; at times it was reminiscent of a freshly baked boysenberry pie. Impeccable mouth feel, wears you like a velvet glove and drives home a long finish.

The 6th of 6 in the Morey Saint Denis & Chambolle Musigny bracket. I had to add the first 5 by Search as even though I photographed them they did not come up in my feed although the notes are on my profile if you are interested. With this Wine you can certainly tell it comes from similar terroir to the other 5. Red berries Good Acid. Morey more earthy than Chambolle. My 2nd highest score after the Dujac Clos Saint Denis.

Healthy full red. Compelling soil-driven scents of raspberry, coffee, underbrush and smoky minerality. Wonderfully rich, smoky and deep but also with the vintage's sappy, floral lift to its raspberry and strawberry fruit flavors. Perhaps best today on the extremely long finish, where the tannins are refined but substantial and will still need considerable patience. A beauty in the making. (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, 2014)

Beautiful vintage for this wine that is finessed & floral showing a perfumed nose of dark cherry, berry fruits with lots of spice, crushed rock, earth & violets.

Oh wow ! Un vin plus facile à boire que je le croyais. C’est gorgé de fruits rouges, fraises, cerises, et légèrement épicé. C’est profond, c’est long, c’est bon ! 93-94
