Not picture bottle. Cool and poised. Hints of lime and lemon with wet stone and soft orchard fruit. Very long and delicious and with time in glass more salinity and oyster shells comes through. Amazing stuff with life ahead.

Tasted blind. Canary gold color. Honey'd fruit forward nose with notes of white Kimmeridgian soil, white acacia flowers, citrus fruit and a pile of rocks. Guessed 2002 Raveneau Valmur. The bottle went quickly. Glad I have some of these saved for future consumption. 96+

A study in elegance and finesse. The absolute satiny-silkiness translates on the nose. Transporting notes of Lemon Budino pudding, Bosc pear, anise, a whiff of smoke. It's actually so well-integrated, it's tough to tease apart—this wine glides, weightless and yet impossibly glycerolly and rich. The attack is deceptive, leading to underlying grip and power, wet stone and shell, coiled acidity, trace white pepper and staggering persistence. There is a reason why Raveneau enjoys the cult reputation it has.

Incredible balance for a hot vintage. Still has a long future. Marvelous!

A broad, expansive nose. Lush and very floral. On the palate sweet and intense. For me lacks a little of the clarity I’ve loved in Raveneau... certainly delicious and likeable but perhaps a bit more finesse would help

Took ages to open up, very linear, mineral, shelly. Gorgeous with time, fattened up considerably, all lemon cream and tree fruit. Thank you Bruce Neyers
