Richness without really having much fruit character. Really well-balanced, walking a knife's edge between sumptuousness and acidity.

Pale yellow color. Slight butter, nutmeg and corn indicates some new oak influence. Lime, citrus and underripe white peach. Medium concentration, moderate plus acidity, but I felt the acidity is a bit too rough and lack of precision. Minerals check. Solid intro level Bourgogne Chardonnay, paired well with steamed fish. 13% abv

Never had a disappointing H. Boillot, of any stature, until this one. Nothing happening here.
