Perhaps not the best vintage, but a solid producer can make it work. Approachable, but still plenty of edge... this could sit in bottle a few more years. Floral notes of rose and acacia, pomegranate, black cherry, and spice. Compared to our 2012 Terlo Barolo, this had more grip.

Smokey black cherry nose, medium depth of extracted colour. Tight initially.
Needed thirty minutes in the decanted
to open. Sandalwood, cedar, orange peel, rose.

2011 vintage. Great nose more reminisced of Cote Rotie than Pinot from Burgundy. Plush, earthy, spicy, black fruit profile. On the palate, disappoints relative to the nose. Slightly dilute and lacking in concentration. Medium plus acidity, medium minus tannins - chewy. Medium body and finish. Not bad, but was hoping for more!

Yay - no cola. Sommelier said lower alcohol likely will not have cola back end. This is 13%.
