1976 vintage. At Bistro de L'Hotel, Beaune. Deep garnet. Drunk immediately after removing cork. Wow, what a great nose. Some shit, Earth and dark berry fruits. Black truffle and rich fruit cake. Touch of pepper. Quite mineral. Super and still very much alive. On the palate, high acidity, medium tannin - integrated and plush. Vanilla ice cream. Good length. Remarkably good. Drink now until??? NB: the wine is very good for about 7 minutes after opening, and then becomes more difficult to drink taking on a dried fruit character.
