Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec Vouvray Chenin Blanc

Amazing acidity and botrytis on this one. Loved how balanced it was for being demi sec

Wonderful now but could easily age for decades.

Textbook Vouvray.

Like taking a stroll through an Orchard in October, with windfall apples on the ground. This is just begging for roast pork and crackling!

Honeycomb hideout!

Oldest vines in vouvray. Planted in 59.

Dark straw in color. Nectar and honey on the nose. A delicious semi-sweet wine with apricot, honey, cinnamon, pear, and candied peach on the palate. High acid, medium body, and a long finish. Eleven years on and drinking beautifully.

Deep golden in color. Honey, lavender, lemonade, cooked apple, quince, and minerals. High acid, semi-dry with chewy residual sugar, medium body, medium alcohol, and long finish. Beautiful match for shell fish.

Beautiful Vouvray

We loved this wine when we visited the vineyard in August 2016 and took it home with us from France! Crisp and flavorful - the perfect Vouvray in my opinion. Drinking it was a great way to celebrate my birthday. 😀
