Dark yellow with a tawny touch - almost bronze. Oxidative, fortified like notes on the nose with a honeyed peachy like note which came out with aeration. Could’ve been a white that needed decanting. An off dry style. The drinking window is to 2028 or 2032 by two different experts. Not sure how oxidative it will have become by then. Expected more from a Huet Chenin - faulty bottle? PS From 375 ml bottle.

A beautiful study in balance. Indulgent tropical fruits and sharp, clarifying acid.

Definitely a bit too young, but a great match with grilled trout, brussel/graoe/cranberry side c/o @Javier Baquero at Fish by Jose Andres.

Crisp, clean apple, honey and lemon aromas braced with brilliant crisp acidity and mineralogy. A bit under 20 g/L residual sugar, which translates on the palate as more fruity than sweet with this level of acidity. The wine seems to vibrate in the glass - terrific vinous character. Can’t wait to try this cheese and foie Gras
