Hermitage Syrah
Dark cherry and some raised high toned notes. Garrigue, plum, blood, iron, bright red cherry. Lithe and toned and fresh. Lovely and supple. Very good

Aug 10th, 2023Took WOTN with its knockout nose, depth, power and abundance of layered complexity. It has terrific structure, floral lift and a palate caressing texture. Fantastic length. In a really great place.

May 9th, 2021Second time with the 2007; lovely Syrah typicity, balanced density, rich yet elegant, with vibrant acidity.

Dec 25th, 2017This was exceptional and played the perfect tune to a classic French meal. Classic in many ways yet surprising and novel simultaneously. Complex and overt, layered, and lengthy as hell. Roasted red plum, blackberry compote, crushed cherry, smoked meat, leather, licorice whip, crackes peppercorn, violets and lavender, roasted herbs, allspice, cardamom, baked earth. An amazing wine that I will be ingrained in my memory forever.

Sep 6th, 2016Took some time to come out of its shell, but wow. Typical Syrah aromas of roasted meat, smoke, black olives, but incredibly nuanced and, at this point, restrained. Silky on the palate. tannins present but very integrated. Elegant as a wine gets
