Tasted alongside the Cote Doree, this is also nearly 100% Syrah, this cuvée seems a tad cleaner aromatically, without the gamey/brett notes, but show lovely dried redfruits, a smoky note underneath, as well as what I perceive as roasted onion skin, this seems clearly mature and at peak now, long, lingering finish, also 12.5% ABV, lovely!!

Jun 23rd, 2024Syrah with a splash of Grenache, this is meatier than the Doree, very dark-fruited and rich, a tiny bit of Brett, but cleaner than the Doree, medium-long finish, really terrific!!
