Les Pucelles Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay

Slightly oxidized and beginning to suffer from it. A weak vintage so to be expected, but holding its own on its way out.

Fresh, clean, no premox. Delicate.

Med gold and heavy in the glass. Tangerine honey and apricots in the nose. Very glycerol. Ok finish. This started out rich and had power. But with air this declined and overall was just average.

Still going at 27 with no signs of ox. Consistent with my prior notes

Mature, no ox showing notes of citrus, pear, apple & honey with good acidity & length.

Still fresh! Good but not showing the greatness of the 99 we had 2 wks ago

Lots of stony mineral, hay, chalk with fresh & racy acids.

On the mature side with good acidity showing citrus, pear, chalk, hint of bees wax & honey.
