If you still have it in your cellar drink it now. This was my last bottle and it is past peak. Still great but not over the top and below my prior tasting one about two years ago.

The Leroy Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts 2001 possesses a sublime, deep inner perfume of dewy meadow flowers, crushed raspberry, forest floor and pitched top-notes of pine and incense. Ruby and translucent, it's incredibly fresh and vibrant with subtle complexity on the palate. Layers of wild red berries, iron, spiced crabapple and rose hips cavort amidst ultra-fine tannins and minerally notes. This is a wine with fine bones, it's all lightness and air, much like the enigmatic Lalou Bize-Leroy herself.

Translucent ruby with a Chilly, cool, reductive, sexy, sweet spices, nutmeg, smoked herbs... juniper! Stems on the palate as well. Sappy and juicy. Persistent finish. Picking up more sweetness and floral attributes towards the end. Dry extract.... Reminded me of Oolong. Best Beaux Monts and 2001 I've had so far.
