Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir

The vintage was poor, producer is superb. Reflection and introspection leads me to regret. If you’re on a tight budget, don’t go here. In my opinion, the vintage presents too many fault lines to be addressed.

Funky dirty barnyard nose. Nice acidity and bright black fruit . Cooked meat. Quick finish

Even in a poor vintage this producer shines. Earthy flavors persist; forest floor, roasted mushrooms, rich soil. Fruit is now in the background, crushed berries.

Dirty earth garnet mushrooms notes of soft tea and cedar long mid-palate finish. A little bit passed its prime but the fruit is still there.
