I'm disappointed, even with low expectations from this #aoc Smelling this #hautescotesdenuits was far more enjoyable than tasting it. The nose was driven by clove and earthiness. The palate was dried out and bitter. #michelgros #burgundy

Fall fruit, green pear and barely ripe yellow apple. Not quite buttered popcorn, but more of a burnt popcorn, in a pleasant way. Lemon meringue pie. Palate is tart crisp citrus and apple skin w/ a flinty backbone. Impressive finish that continues evolving. Nice Hautes cotes de Nuits.
