Wow - this is my first experience with aged Altesse, and man - can it go the distance. Nose has some oxidative notes to be sure, but for a decade old white, this has aged very gracefully, in a controlled and complexing sort of way. Rich and full, with excellent length - excites me even more about the potential and versatility of the Altesse grape.

Oct 23rd, 2014Opened 10 days ago. Just a bit too oxidized but after a few days in Cali bothers it settled down and be a serviceable food wine, good acidity, not much complexity, oxidation blew off.

Sep 6th, 2024CVed 10/11/17 day after Lupin and Brondien. Stone fruits and minerals on nose and slightly deeper straw color vs the younger ones last night. Acidic and rocks on palate with slight oxidative notes but balanced and finish that is a long bite and high tension. A winner at Acker 11.
