Domaine Rolet
Arbois Rouge Tradition Trousseau

Serious QPR...a decent Jura under $20? Stunning bright garnet, attenuated nose of cherries. Palate is cherry liqueur, good acidity, medium finish. There is a note of cherry Dimetapp in this, and I’m not at all embarrassed to report that my inner five year-old is rejoicing.

Translucent with water edges. Charming nose of strawberry, barnyard, white pepper. Palate is fresh and juicy, bright red fruit, light in weight. Finishes dry with a touch of tannins, lacks persistence. Enjoyable intro into some new varietals for me... 40% Poulsard, 30% Trousseau, and 30% Pinot Noir.
