Poolside hijinks while sipping a bubbly Crémant du Jura made using the ‘traditional method’ following the same rigorous winemaking process as Champagne, but with different minimum aging requirements, permitted varieties, among other things.
This wine is comprised of mainly Chardonnay alongside Savagnin, Trousseau, Poulsard, and Pinot Noir.
It has grace, balance, and freshness with notes of yellow apple, pear, freshly cut herbs, and savory qualities that are tough to describe.
It has character! It’s highly quaffable and enjoyable. What’s more is that it’s an incredible value.
Cheers to these fleeting summer days in the northern hemisphere!!! 🥂🍾 🌞

@Delectable Wine this is the Crémant du Jura, Blanc Brut… — 3 years ago
Traded for this (pre-opened, long story) with our neighbours. Soft fruits and earth. Would be perfect in the summer with a chicken or duck salad. Making it work with spaghetti and meatballs for Christmas Eve. — 9 months ago
Loved it . For some of our dinner guests, it was first time having a Jura wine. Probably a little too rustic for them. For the wine buds, it was a treat. — 3 months ago

This is the non-oxydative version of their arbois.
I discovered the wines of Domaine Rolet at a wine fair (salon des vignerons independants) 12 years ago and have since then always liked all their cuvées. I was so happy to find some their wines at a wineshop nearby, here in Poland, for (almost) a reasonable price.
The nose shows crushed rocks scents, pear, lemon, lemon peel, a creamy, lemon curdy thing, too. It's a superb, very precise chardonnay nose. The palate is very well made and almost rich for an arbois wine. There is some width, some nice lemon curd and ripe pear notes, there is a good acid drive, and a bit of grip in the rear. The finish is fresh, precise, showing lemon curd, French pastry notes, lemon peel, and pear juice and goes on for a good 30 seconds. I haven't had a good chardonnay like this in a long time.
