A nice, lighter, brighter chardonnay based champagne. Perhaps harder to find, but worthwhile if you can. — a month ago
Fascinating. Like a white port or sherry. Nearly amber colored. Oxidative and reductive. Lots of wood. Hardly acidic at first but as it opens acidity goes to plus. Finishes shorter than I’d like. — 2 months ago
A blend of 40% Poulsard, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Trousseau, the 2022 Rouge Arbois Tradition displays bright red fruits alongside spicy elements. Subtle herbaceous accents add complexity, attributable to the use of approximately 20% stems from the Pinot Noir and Trousseau during fermentation. Concentrated and savory, the 2022 is neatly framed by ripe tannins and can be enjoyed over the next four years. (Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous, August 2024)

Traded for this (pre-opened, long story) with our neighbours. Soft fruits and earth. Would be perfect in the summer with a chicken or duck salad. Making it work with spaghetti and meatballs for Christmas Eve. — 8 hours ago
