Domaine Rolet
Vieilles Vignes Arbois Poulsard
First off, the color is so intriguing, like a brown-red hue that you can see right through the glass, very light ruby port color possibly. The nose has light sour cherry and strawberry with a little herbal aspect that I can't quite pin down yet. Palate is the same red fruits with a kind of faint SweeTART® finish note. Yes, I know that sounds crazy, but this is Jura, so interesting stuff.

You do get a bit of gripping hands at the end however which is nice on the Finish. This is extremely complex and it is heavy on the mid palette.

Mar 10th, 2019This Poulsard is interesting and fun to drink. Ethereal levity of body pairs with light gaminess, softness of tannin, and lush acidity. I was tempted to drink it chilled, but much preferred it at room temperature.
