Blanchot Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay

Excellent grand cru chard, minus the allergic reaction at the checkout. Displays orchard fruits on the nose and palate, with just the right amount of acidity. A very contemporary style presentation on the palate. Compelling sweetness, with just enough weight to remind you that the French continue to hold court when it comes to this varietal.

Good wine from a great vintage. A little more grapefruit than I like with some lychee.

Described by the somm as “crushed oyster shells” I found it closer to apple juice with almost an orange color but truly lovely and great with fish

This was a lovely expression of Chablis, well balanced fruit and acidity with some lovely minerality
