Domaine Sigalas
Santorini Mavrotragano
Excelent representative of a variety considered once extinct in Santorini. Perfect match between the island's volcanic soil, grape variety and producer. Full body, present and firm tannins, structured palate and medium to long finish. Notes of blackberries, dark cherries and spices. Enjoy it with red meats, greek fare and dishes with strong sauces. In my opinion one of the best reds out there from Greece !

Mar 9th, 2016@Ian Hunter had another bottle a few days later that had a leaky cork. Carried it all the way out of Greece to the Amalfi Coast before we found it was leaking. So, so sad since this is one of my favorites in the world.
