Dark reddish tawny. Herbal nose. Heavy tobacco leaf, black cherries, cedar, smoke, plums, and cut Cuban cigar. Angular in the mouth. Needed five hours to find its groove. Big and powerful wine, paired perfectly with smoked prime rib.

From magnum and after 4+ hours of air. Mature color. Exotic nose with a hint of brett. Notes of dark fruit, cedar, moist dark soil, some cola, iron and a little menthol. Nicely balanced in the mouth. The brett thing blew off or wasn’t notable after awhile. Consistent notes with recent tastes of this. Ready for consumption, but in a steady holding pattern.

This was funky on pop but it blew off quickly and then it just started body slamming people. The 90, 91 and 94 Dominus Estate are as Bordeaux as Napa gets for me. Forest floor, damp earth, smoke, fig and spice provide an array of ever evolving flavors. Sensational @Shawn R

One of the better Napa Cabernet I have ever had. A wine at 20 years old that still has a youthful color and nose. The color was a prefect garnet medium ruby. A pure joy to smell and taste. California sunshine was in there but mixed with earth tones, cherry, and cassis. The palate was seamless front to back, more gutsy than its Merlot bretheren at the table as this is Cabernet. The finish was long and pure with good energy.

An incredible wine. It tasted as if it were just a few years old. Beautiful core of dark fruit and earth. A gorgeous expression of the valley. As Austin Peterson, Ovid Winemaker, said as we drank this "man California wine!"

The real deal. This was the best Napa wine I've had in awhile. Has the makings of one of Napa's benchmark wines for the ages. Thanks Tom Weldon

OMG!! What a sick bottle of wine this is.
Drinks like a Fine French Bordeaux!!!
Forest floor, earth, a little funk on the nose, very well structured and a phenomenal finish. If only I would have bought this for the release price of $69!!
Would have, could have, should have, as they say!!
