Dominus Estate
Dominus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend
Really need to give time to decant. 2+ hours. Velvety soft structure but still hints of the youthful power. Reminiscent a Clerc-Milon

Nov 19th, 2015Wow. Delicious. Much richer and new world in style than the 88 which was tasted in conjunction.

Feb 17th, 2014Needs time and air, lots of air! The colour is deep garnet. The smell is like a lazy summer forest buried under ripe berries. In the mouth some meat and Unamipaste, better performance then the 1999.

Mar 12th, 2021Havenβt had this top of class of 2000 in awhile. It so outperforms most of that vintage. Tannins are perfect. Lush red fruit that lingers forever. Spent a little time tending the vineyard and decided to treat myself. WOW!!! Only two bottles left. Booπ·π·π·π·

Jul 9th, 2020Elegant. Tannins are still firm. Stewed fruits, leather, currants, cassis. Some forest floor. Beautiful wine.

Nov 21st, 20162001 Dominus CS. Boy G at HB w B&K K. Drank this after the '99 Grands Echezeaux. Total gear shift, but unlike the previous wine, this drank as we had hoped. Interesting comp to the '97 Sassicaia, which was our fave of the night. This was super green and I guess we all just favored the flavors of the Italian.

Sep 8th, 2016I wasn't sure about this one as we bought it a "little later in life" - but I was pleasantly surprised by the nose and the cork was in great shape, do it must have been store just fine. Drinking it was even better! Paired this with a lovely ribeye and mushrooms. Yum!!! It was great!

Jul 3rd, 2016Absolutely excellent. Even with 15 years in the bottle there was some spice, beautiful plum and coffee with fantastic balance.
