Albarino fan, and this 2012 vintage smells and tastes terrific. Bright yellow in color (evidence of oak aging?) and aromatic for days, peaches and yellow pears and minerality bound out of the glass. The palate is dry, with a touch of sweet peach lingering behind the underripe grapefruit and... chalky? Limestone? I'll go with limestone. Perfect not just for summer, but just when you want a crisp white.

Very nice 2012 Albariño, mineral, unripe tropical fruits, and very refreshing acidity.

Light, airy Spanish wine. Good balance of Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc flavor profiles to those not familiar with albarinos.
