Solid value for vineyard-designated Mosel kabinett Riesling, less than $15 post-tax. A bit on the sweet side for my preference for kabinetts but still representative of the region and variety; certainly tastes like a Bernkastler Badstube kabinett should, if possibly being a bit basic of an example compared to those from the many classic Mosel producers that make wines from this site. A good companion to a nice cheese plate. Ripe Granny Smith apple, canned peaches, wet slate minerality, a bit of pool toy/petrol-y action, and some subtle cherry blossom showing pretty congruently on both the nose and palate. Acid is medium (+) and I'm seeking a little more, that's what's keeping this wine from really popping the way I want it to. Light bodied but a nice round texture from the RS. Not too shabby!

On the nose: Tennis ball canister and minerality.
On the palate: Sweet tart tangerines, lemons, apricot, quince and minerality.

My favorite Reisling. I'm not a fan of very sweet and this hits the spot.

Nice & easy medium sweet Riesling from the fatherland. Fresh on the nose, starts a delicate balance and develops into a nice lemon-esque tart finish. Chill and take a trip to the Mosel.
