Dr. Loosen
Reserve Ürziger Würzgarten Alte Reben Riesling
This was really quite exciting; intensity, a certain density and that trademark texture and spice. But what struck me as remarkable was the restraint; no sign of the experience being dashed off by the acidity; this held it's nerve and built compellingly.

Sep 3rd, 2015#DRY, yes, but not too much so because it has such perfect ripeness and sexy acidity that it actually comes off as more opulent and not in the least bit austere. A full 24 months on the #lees has given this remarkable wine layers of complexity and, well, the "spiciness" that you would expect from a "spice garden"!
