2014 Drinkward Peschon Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. Decanted for 90 minutes. Blackcurrent, graphite one the nose.
Color- Deep garnet.
Palate- Blackberries, blackcurrent, moderate spices throughout the glass. 2nd taste reveals- Licorice, baking chocolate, modest oak, splash of earthiness. Lingers for a bit. Better in a few more years. Drink over the next 10+ years.

Young yes but this is a terrific bottle of wine especially for the cost. Best in 5 years but full of fruit and not overoaked. Good job ladies.

A perfect pop and pour for a Friday night that balances elegance and power deftly. Rich with cassis and blueberry jam, the tannins are silk even at this young age. Long finish the ends somewhat astringent (which is the only negative I can find with this wine). Very fruit forward but not overwhelming and dare I say almost as good as some of Francoise’s other wines at 1/4 of their price.

Tasted 3/20. $74. A heavyweight wine that needs a solid hour to open given its tight tanins. Then it opens to a dense dry blueberry and dark chocolate pleasure. 90

2014 a bit young, but promise for the future.

Nice. Very full bodied and concentrated with excellent fruit. Lots of blackberry and violets. The tannins are pretty assertive so it would benefit from a few more years in the cellar to soften.
