Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

Takes the reins as best ever Dunn Cabernet for me…needed 45 mins out of Magnum, nose all Bordeaux of cedar and cigar box with a touch of cassis. Velvety palate, layers of red cherry and chocolate espresso bean, long, long finish. Find and drink now if you can.

Always a favorite. Tangy eucalyptus, red fruits and low ph. Nearly had every vintage at this point.

Spicy, leafy-eucalyptus-pyrazines, classic Howell mtn bright red fruit, unobtrusive French oak finish. Lots of life ahead.

Softer than the '94 and drinking great too.

Clean, fruit expressive with tannins that have begun to unlock. Another 10 years easy, but we all know that.

Very enjoyable. Decanted. Could easily go another 10+ years. Tannins not fully resolved. Preferred to Insignia of same vintage consumed side by side.
