Hermitage Syrah

Lacking so much but full on palate.

Wish there was more here.

Lovely with lamb

CV tasting Crozes Hermitage 10/6/16. Nose more hints of oak but with that savory and meaty profile that's a bit more muted. Firm and textured body and balanced with tannin still prominent. Long complex finish. Opened bottle 10/9/16 with Grafs in Maine and it was delicious. Nose was bit more prominent than first tasting and finish was great. Yum. Add .1 to score.

Beautiful bouquet of dried black fruits and oak. Still plenty of tannin but drinking pretty well now. It would keep another couple of years I think.

Terrific wine. Long finish. Structured, minerality. Sweet blood with strawberries.
