Edouard Delaunay & Ses Fils
Septembre Bourgogne Chardonnay

Like the pinot noir it says it all about what these guys can do.
Very elegant.

A regional 100% Chard sourced mainly from Côte d’Or (the Côte de Beaune and the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits), and Mâconnais deemed as Edouard’s house signature and sensible price point. Truly “à la mode” Chard that combines freshness of citrus, lemon and orange, with elegance and subtle aromas of mandarine peel. Barely any of cream, but soft on the mid-range palate with a finish of hazelnut and an amazing dry and clean completion of baked pear layers.

Definitely a contemporary 100% Chard sourced from Côte de Beaune & Haute-Côtes de Nuis (Côte d’Or), Burgundy’s epicenter for somewhat affordable chards. On the nose, all citrus notes with white flowers are inviting, the palate gets stimulated by the orange peel, baked pear peels as well, it has the right amount of acidity with some distant subtle touch of creaminess and very pristine finish. Another affordable edition of Edouard’s line up of casual wines.

A more regional Burgundy AOC expression, dominated by earthy notes and red berries, bell peppers and mushrooms notes. Mouthfeel was delicate and driven with some vanilla and ripe dark berries. Nicely smooth and elegant finish. Tannins were in the low side, and so was the abv @ 12.5% which make it quite approachable.
