Versante Nord Terre Siciliane Nerello Mascalese

Brightness peeks through the minerality and moodiness. Turns out the wine is made by Arianna Occhipinti’s boyfriend and at her same facility. Needs some air to show off all its feathers, but it’s lighter body keeps it from being too dark.

One of the best Sicilian wines I've had in a long time. Spicy notes with elegance and refinement.

Lettdrikkelig, passer til både kjøttnog fisk

Strawberries, mint, leather, tar, black currant. Very aromatic. Light bodied with a good tang in the acidity and well integrated tannins. Super mineral. Different than many other etna reds. 80% nerello mascalese and 20% Nerello Cappuccio, Minella Nera, Minella Bianca,
Catarrato, Grecianico which is why this is not labelled as a Etna Rosso. But I have to say I find this blend very appealing.

Brilliant ruby with a little browning.
Minty, tar, black currants on nose.
Balanced and elegant with a light grip of astringent tannins on the finish.

Complex beauty with Sicilian terroir

Good pizza/pasta pairing wine. A little softer than most Sicilians
