Oh...oh my. Dare I say this is the best Petite Sirah I have had in recent memory? Intensely rich, chewy, and decadent. On the nose an ensemble of deep, dark fruits (plums, blackberries, blueberries) intermingled with brambly, baked pies & pastries, laced with notes of licorice and clove. On the palate a litany of voices: blackberry cobbler, Christmas spice cake, and anise compote with a silky, harmoniously opulent body.
