Light. Pinkish amber. High tone; tart cherry juice, a little medicinal. Va gives this thrust but it’s just barely in control as usual. This bottle feels a little diffuse, and I’m not as enamored with the style on its own (without the terroir of their top cuvees) as some. But it is refreshing and has its place.

Bright, light on its feet, really nice. Red cherry, cranberry, potpourri, red licorice. Like this!

Meaningfully better than I expected for their base bottling. Opened 6 hours before but no decant; slight chill. Incredibly drinkable and the type of precise acid on the finish that almost compels you to take another sip.

Juicy glou pinot noir from E&M just on the right side of natty. Wonderful BBQ wine as long as the flavors aren’t too hot or strong.

13% a classic. And a cult wine. E&M is unbeatable at this level@and price. Raspberries, cranberry, lime and herbs. Don’t let the color put you off. This is complex. Give it 30 min and you will be blown away. This is their most basic cuvée. At Anza Borrego in the desert camping. In Feb.
